Correspondence courses

Correspondence pest control courses may be done at home, your office or any other chosen place.  Self assessment modules and activities are sent out to the student to complete. As a correspondence Student you are asked to perform these tasks and to participate in an on-site assessment.
The following courses can be done by correspondence:
Course 1: Pest Management Licensing Course - (Units 5,6,18)   Enrolment Form

Course 3: The Certificate III in Urban Pest Management (Entire Certificate III)    Enrolment Form

General Pest Control Course by Correspondence

Our Pest Control course consists of Units 5, 6 & 18 from Certificate III in Pest Management. Completion of our Basic Pest Management course will enable you to apply for a State or Territory Pest Technician licence (except in WA - where the full Certificate III course needs to be completed.).

This course has been designed by experienced and respected experts in the pest industry to take you through a structured learning program that will ultimately allow you to operate competently and safely, as a licenced pest control technician, when dealing with common urban pests. This program does not cover any aspect of timber pest inspection or management.

Termite & Timber Pest Course by Correspondence

Our termite and timber pest course by correspondence consists of Units 8 & 10 from Certificate III in Pest Management and is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to be a competent Termite and Timber Pest Manager. The course covers both training and assessment. Upon completion of your training and assessment, you will receive a Statement of Attainment which can be submitted to your government licensing office, insurer or accreditor.

Certificate III in Urban Pest Management - Correspondence

This qualification incorporates Course I and Course 2 and must be completed within 18 months of your enrolment date. Those on a government funded traineeship must complete within 2 years.  It includes all units in the face to face courses shown above, which are required for licensing, termites and timber pest management. It also includes other relevant technical units, which are helpful in daily pest management operations.

Unit 42  Install Physical Termite Barriers by Correspondence

This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to install physical termite management systems, including management systems that combine physical and chemical characteristics. The unit covers the ability to assess methods of construction of different premises, as well as techniques required to prevent termites gaining concealed access to a completed construction.
